    Description
Three local free-jazz legends, each from different generations, take the stage together tonight. While saxophonist Fred Anderson, proprietor of the Velvet Lounge and tornado-inducing free-jazz icon, plays with his own groups regularly around town, this chance to see him work with some of the North Side's best should not be missed. Reedist Vandermark has not let up his prolific pace lately, and his collaborator and drummer Tim Daisy (Vandermark 5, Engines) may be the city's only percussionist who grasps funk and Afrobeat's complex lessons in a jazz setting.
