Popular Seurasaari is only 15 minutes from the centre of Helsinki by bus. The Open-Air Museum provides a glimpse of traditional provincial life in beautiful natural surroundings. Regular ferries also travel the 15 minutes from Market Square to the island fortress of Suomenlinna, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which has played a central role in the history and fortunes of Helsinki.
