Fishermen outnumber DJs on the island of Formentera, a 30-minute hydrofoil ride from Ibiza port. After docking at La Savina, grab a map from the ferry tourist office (971 322 057, www.formentera.es) and hire a moped. At the northern tip, across a narrow 500-foot sandbank, lies the islet of Espalmador, where you can spend an afternoon in the natural mud baths and lounging on the white sand dunes.
