The Princes’ Islands in the Marmara Sea are a haven a short ferry ride from Eminönü – except on summer weekends. Also worth exploring are the upper reaches of the Bosphorus, with their graceful waterfront wooden mansions, and the Black Sea beaches, which offer fish restaurants, sea breezes and a fresh take on the charms of Istanbul.
