The euro-scene is one of the most important festivals for contemporary and experimental theatre in Europe, with 25 performances ranging from opera to street theatre taking place at venues across Leipzig (1-6 November, 980 0284, www.euro-scene.de). In December Leipzig holds one of Germany’s biggest and oldest Christmas markets, dating back to the year 1767 (24 November-22 December, 1235 920).
